At Bien Abye, we love helping people find amazing fashion accessories and home décor. Our pieces are handcrafted by Haitian artisans who utilize sewing, embroidery, and more to create each piece. While each piece is beautiful, we want the impact to be more than just economic — we want to make a difference in the world, which is why we’ve partnered with Fleur De Vie, a nonprofit that’s focused on implementing social change through improved school programs, as well as health and environmental sustainability in Haiti.
ENCOURAGING GROWTH AND PROGRESS
Fleur De Vie, or “flower of life,” stemmed from one after-school program that reached 125 children. Throughout the years, it has impacted the lives of over 1,000 children. They've grown to have partnerships with various schools, organizations, and businesses, including Bien Abyé.
SUPPORTING HAITIAN STUDENTS
Promoting education as a key element to empowering the youth is the mission. To address this, Fleur De Vie's initiatives include key programs like: Back to School Recreational Program, Reading is Fundamental Program, Teacher Training Program, and most recently COVID-19 community outreach.
BUILDING SAFE SPACE
Over recent years, Haiti has been prone to multiple natural disasters which can damage school structures. Fleur De Vie has taken on the task of rebuilding the structure where nearly 400 students can be educated positively and safely every day for one of their partners in the southern region of Haiti.
